Road Closures to do President Obama Visit

The Los Angeles Police Department has released a list of expected street closures for President Barack Obama’s visit to the Los Angeles and Beverly Hills areas today as follows:

— The area around Sherman Way between Clybourn Avenue and Coldwater Canyon Avenue from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

— The 170 and 101 freeways from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday.

— The area around Highland Avenue between Franklin Avenue and Sunset Boulevard from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday

— The 101 and 405 freeways from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

— The area around Sunset Boulevard between Woodburn and North Palm drives from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

— The area around Sunset Boulevard between Woodburn and North Palm drives from 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

— The 405 and 10 freeways from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

— The area around South Centinela Avenue between Ocean Park and West Pico boulevards between noon and 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

— In Hollywood, the eastbound and westbound lanes of Hollywood Boulevard between Highland Avenue and North Orange Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday.

— In Hollywood, the eastbound and westbound lanes of Hawthorne Avenue between Highland Avenue and North Orange Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday.

— In Beverly Hills, the northbound and southbound lanes of North Loma Vista Drive between Wallace Ridge and Dabney Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday.

— In Beverly Hills, the eastbound and westbound lanes of Sunset Boulevard between North Whittier and North Bedford drives will be closed to vehicular traffic between 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

If at all possible, avoid these areas as traffic will be impacted and very congested.

Please plan your travel time accordingly.
